Rivian Space in Chicago

It has been many years since I last visited Chicago. We got an opportunity to go this year. While Abby was attending a conference, I went and visited the Rivian Space. I took an Uber share ride. This was my first time taking an Uber share. It was a good opportunity since I was going alone. I was able to save $4 and will get to experience it. A black Polestar 2 picked me up. This was another first time for me. The ride had two other passengers. The driver was nice and we talked. The ride itself cost about $17 from my hotel. A passenger was dropped off before me and it added an additional 10 minutes to the ride, which was fine.

I arrived at Rivian and took some photos. There is a Gen2 R1S on display and Gen1 R1T. I missed my truck. This is the first time I am seeing the white paint with AT tires. It looks very nice. I ended up buying a Gear Guard Gary plush toy and a bottle in Limestone color (to match my truck). I wanted to get a Chicago Rivian shirt but it did not come in Limestone so I held off. Maybe next time. Those two items already cost $87 yikes.

I left and walked around for a bit. While walking, I saw an Amazon Rivian EDV (electric delivery van). I am seeing more of these on the road.
