Today is a big update day for the SherwinM channel. We’ve just hit a massive milestone—3,300 subscribers! Huge shoutout to everyone who has joined the family. Whether you’re here for the EV technical hardware reviews, the off-roading adventures, or just the honest ownership truth, I appreciate every one of you.

We’ve got a lot of ground to cover today: from upcoming Tesla features like Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) to my first 10,000 miles with the Model Y Juniper. Let’s get into the gear and the tech.
Cybertruck Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) Incoming?
There has been a lot of buzz recently about Active Noise Cancellation finally being enabled for the Cybertruck. For those who aren’t familiar, the hardware for ANC is already present in the truck—it’s just been waiting for a software update to “wake it up.”
- Why it matters: If you’ve driven the Cybertruck on all-terrain tires, you know road noise is a real factor.
- The Experience: Having lived with ANC in my previous two Model Xs, I can tell you it makes the cabin feel like a high-end recording studio. It effectively masks low-frequency road hum, and I’m incredibly excited to see how it transforms the Cybertruck’s highway refinement once Tesla flips the switch.
Model Y Juniper: The 10,000 Mile Milestone
My Model Y Juniper has officially hit the 10k mark! Even though I noticed a minor issue with the driver’s seat trim recently, I still stand by my statement: the Model Y is the best overall vehicle Tesla sells.

To celebrate the milestone, I’m working on a comprehensive Efficiency Deep Dive. I’ll be comparing four different wheel setups based on the data I’ve collected over the last 10,000 miles:
- OEM 19-inch wheels (with covers).
- OEM 19-inch wheels (without covers).
- The Halo Disc covers.
- My new 20-inch RVRN wheels.
While it’s not a laboratory-grade scientific test, it will give you real-world numbers on how your wheel choice affects your Wh/mile and overall range.
Wrap Maintenance
We’re back at Nikola Customs today with Austin for some routine maintenance. One thing people often overlook is that a custom wrap—whether it’s PPF or vinyl—requires maintenance.
- Post-Inspection: We’re doing a quick touch-up on the Cybertruck’s passenger rear door.
- The Tool of the Trade: Austin often uses a blowtorch instead of a heat gun for these touch-ups. The higher heat helps activate the glue more effectively for a perfect “torch down” finish.
- Pro Tip: If you wrap your rig, make sure your shop offers a warranty and post-install inspections. It’s what separates the pros from the amateurs.

I’ve put together a few videos showing our past vehicles getting their final check-ups after a new vinyl or PPF installation. This is a crucial follow-up step that reputable wrap shops always recommend to ensure everything settles perfectly.

Rivian Roamer
If you own a Rivian and want to track data, give Rivian Roamer a try. Here is a referral link.

Tesla Referral
A big shout out and thanks to Aja who used my Tesla referral link to purchase a Model 3. As many of you know, the Model 3 was my first EV – my gateway into EV ownership. Congratulations!

The SherwinM Newsletter & Centralizing the Brand
I’ve had a lot of feedback that YouTube notifications are failing to alert you when new videos drop. To fix this, I’m building out sherwinm.com.
- Free Newsletter: You can sign up now for free. I’ll be sending out direct links to new videos, technical breakdowns, and exclusive coupon codes for gear like Haloblk and EVBase.
- Public Event Calendar: I’m starting a public calendar for SoCal EV events, Cars and Coffee, and Tesla/Rivian meetups. If your club has an event, reach out to me on social media, and I’ll get it added to the central hub!
Upcoming Events
- March 8: Cars and Coffee in La Habra. I’m planning to bring the pink-wrapped Takashi Murakami Cybertruck!
- Rivian Pasadena: Keep an eye out for their upcoming “Introduction to AI” event.
Make sure you check out the calendar page for more events. If you are an organizer or if you know of an upcoming event and want to share it, please get in touch with me.
I also got to see Austin’s (Aimwrap) “other” Model Y. If you want to see more of it, be sure to watch the full video on Youtube.
