Model Y Juniper Upgrades: HaloBlk Carbon Fiber Spoiler & Pedals

I’m at the HaloBlk in Irvine, California. We’ve partnered with HaloBlk in the past, and I’m back at their shop to give my Model Y Juniper some much-needed aesthetic and functional upgrades.

When I transitioned from my Model Y Performance to the new Juniper Long Range, I knew there were a few “Performance” touches I was going to miss. Today, we’re fixing that with some high-end carbon fiber and custom hardware.

The Performance Spoiler: T700 Carbon Fiber

The first order of business was installing the new rear spoiler. If you’ve been following the channel, you know I’ve been waiting for this piece for weeks.

• The Material: HaloBlk uses T700 high-strength carbon fiber cloth. This isn’t just a plastic piece with a wrap; it’s genuine carbon fiber that feels incredibly sturdy and lightweight.
• The Install: Caesar and Scott at the shop handled the installation meticulously. They used heat to ensure the adhesive bond was perfect. The fitment on the Juniper liftgate is seamless, giving the rear end that aggressive Performance silhouette that was missing from the factory Long Range.

Bringing Back the “Off/On” Pedals

One of the subtle things that makes a Performance Tesla feel special is the aluminum pedals. The Long Range pedals are, frankly, a bit “eh.” HaloBlk has released a set of custom pedals that I think look even better than the OEM Performance ones.

• Design: These pedals feature distinct “Off” (Brake) and “On” (Accelerator) markings. It’s a cool, technical touch that fits the tech-heavy vibe of the Juniper.
• Installation Tip: * Brake Pedal: You have to remove the factory rubber cover first. The new pedal comes with three paddings that you install on the sides and top. Slide it on from top to bottom.
  • Accelerator Pedal: This one slides over the existing pedal from right to left. No extra padding is needed here.
  • Pro Tip: The silver areas on the back of these pedals move in and out to provide the clearance needed to slide them on securely.

Meeting the Artist Behind HaloBlk

One of the coolest parts of visiting the Irvine shop was meeting Scott, the man behind the brand. If you’ve ever bought a HaloBlk product (like the Halo Station or the sunshade), you’ve seen the beautiful technical drawings on the packaging. I found out today that Scott actually hand-draws all of those! It’s that level of detail and personal artistry that makes this brand stand out in the crowded Tesla accessory market.

Custom Touches: Halo Disc Covers

While we were there, the team showed me some all-black Halo Disc wheel covers with a matching center cap. We did a quick test fit, and the stealthy look is incredible. If you’re looking to customize your 19-inch or 20-inch wheels without the cost of full aftermarket rims, these discs are a high-tech alternative.
