We’re coming to you live from the brand-new Tesla Anaheim Hills location for their massive grand opening celebration. If you’re a Tesla enthusiast in Southern California, this is a spot you need to put on your radar.
The facility is impressively large and represents Tesla’s continued push to expand its service and delivery footprint. But as always on this channel, we aren’t just here for the architecture—we’re here for the hardware. From custom Cybertrucks to the latest overlanding gear, there was plenty of tech to drool over.
A Prime Location for Tesla Owners
One of the first things that struck me about the Anaheim Hills studio is the location. Unlike some service centers tucked away in industrial parks, this one is situated inside a plaza with plenty of amenities.
If your car is in for a quick fix or you’re waiting on a delivery, you actually have places to eat and shops to browse within walking distance. It makes the ownership experience so much more convenient when you aren’t stranded in a waiting room for two hours. The parking area is also expansive, which is a necessity given the sheer volume of Cybertrucks and Model 3s I saw rolling in.
Cybertruck Takeover: RPM Tesla and Unplugged Performance
The highlight of the grand opening was undoubtedly the presence of some of the biggest names in the aftermarket Tesla world. RPM Tesla made a huge splash, bringing out their white Cybertruck and a modified Model Y. Seeing the Cybertruck in white completely changes the silhouette of the truck—it’s bold, clean, and highlights those angular lines in a way the raw stainless steel doesn’t always capture.
Unplugged Performance was also on the scene with their signature builds. Seeing these trucks side-by-side gives you a real sense of where the EV off-roading community is headed. We’re moving past simple aesthetic mods into serious performance upgrades that make these electric beasts even more capable in the dirt.

First Look: The Tesla Basecamp (CyberTent)
I’ve seen plenty of videos of the Tesla CyberTent (Basecamp) being set up, but this was my first time getting up close and personal with it in the real world. For an off-roading enthusiast like myself, this is a critical piece of gear.

The integration with the Cybertruck’s bed is impressive. It’s designed to work with the truck’s suspension to level out the sleeping surface, and seeing it fully deployed gives you a much better idea of the internal headspace. It’s compact when stowed but transforms the truck into a legitimate off-grid basecamp.
Behind the Scenes in the Service Bay
Tesla gave us a rare peek into the service area, and I noticed a cool technical detail. On the shop floor, they have “CT” markings specifically for the Cybertruck. These markings indicate exactly where to line up the front wheels for alignment and service equipment. It’s a small detail, but it shows how Tesla is optimizing their new facilities specifically for the larger footprint of the Cybertruck.
The shop is massive, clean, and looks ready to handle the high demand of the Orange County area. Seeing the “behind-the-scenes” infrastructure always gets me excited because it means better support for us as owners.

Final Thoughts
The grand opening of the Anaheim Hills location is a win for the SoCal Tesla community. The combination of a massive service capacity and a location that actually has stuff to do nearby is a game-changer. Plus, seeing the aftermarket support from guys like RPM Tesla and Unplugged Performance just proves that the Cybertruck is becoming the ultimate canvas for tech and off-road enthusiasts.
If you’re in the area, definitely swing by and check out the new studio. The scale of the operation is something you have to see in person to appreciate.
