Today, we’re back at Nikola Customs with the team from AIMWrap for a bit of a specialized project. While the big Cybertruck wrap project is looming on the horizon, we had some unfinished business with the Model Y Juniper—specifically addressing some technical alignment issues with the existing wrap.

The Technical Fix: Addressing Wrap Inconsistency

We noticed that on the rear driver-side door of the Model Y, the wrap wasn’t lining up perfectly depending on the light and angle. At some points, it looked fine, but at others, the reflection or the seam just felt “off.”

Austin removed the wrap from the driver rear door. There is plenty of vinyl wrap left so he cut a piece and lined it up. He moved it around, turned it in other angles to make sure before applying the new piece.

Secret Locations and Photo Shoots

After the technical work was done, we headed to a “secret location” for a proper photo shoot. While I’m not doing any acrobatic Drex Lee-style flips over the car today, we wanted to capture the Model Y in its best light.

The results speak for themselves—the side profile is now much more consistent, and the flow of the wrap across the doors is seamless. It’s a testament to why you go to a professional who stands by their work. If it isn’t right, Austin fixes it.

Final Thoughts

Precision matters. Whether you’re hitting the off-road trails in a Rivian or cruising the strip in a wrapped Tesla, the details are what make the build. Shout out to Austin at AIM Wrap for the dedication to the craft.
