We are hanging out with our friends at the Haloblk booth at SEMA 2024. They’ve got a massive presence this year, and as a brand I’ve partnered with before, I was stoked to see their latest hardware in person. From customizable aero discs to high-performance braking systems, they are leaning hard into the “premium tech” vibe for Tesla owners.
Halo Discs: Aerodynamics Meets Custom Style
One of the standout products is the Halo Disc wheel cover system. These aren’t just your average hubcaps. They are multi-purpose covers designed to:
- Protect your wheels from curb rash.
- Increase aerodynamics for better range efficiency.
- Offer complete customization. You can actually send HaloBlk a custom design, and they can print it onto the discs for you—imagine seasonal designs like a Christmas theme for December.
Technically, the system is very clever. The center caps are lockable with a key. This makes it nearly impossible for someone to steal the covers off your car. Once you have the lock set, you can swap out different disc designs without needing to buy new locks.
Model 3 Highland Aero Kit & Performance Brakes
I got a first look at HaloBlk’s new aero kit for the Model 3 Highland. It features a front lip, side skirts, and a rear diffuser. It’s still a sample and not quite available for purchase yet, but the way it flows with the lines of the new Highland body is incredibly clean.
For the performance junkies, they introduced a Pro Street Braking System:
- Specs: 380 mm slotted discs with a massive six-piston caliper.
- Compatibility: Fits Model 3 (Legacy & Highland) and all Model Y versions.
- Requirement: You need at least 19-inch wheels to clear the size of these calipers.
- Colors: Currently available in Silver, Red, and Yellow.
Real Carbon Fiber & Smart Floor Mats
Halo Black is using high-end Toray carbon fiber from Japan for their spoilers and side mirror covers. These aren’t “carbon look” plastic; they are the real deal, available for Model 3 Highland, the older Model 3, and Model Y.
I also checked out their new hybrid floor mats. This is a smart design for those who can’t decide between carpet and all-weather rubber. The carpeted portion is removable via integrated notches and locks. You can keep the carpet in for a premium feel or strip it back to the all-weather base when things get muddy. They have these for the Highland now, with Model Y versions also available on their site.
Halo Black continues to push the envelope for Tesla accessories. If you’re looking to stand out or add some serious performance hardware to your Model 3 or Y, they are a brand to watch.
