As an owner of a Rivian R1T, I’ve had my fair share of experiences with the Rivian service center. While I’ve generally been satisfied with the quality of their work, my recent encounter left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. In this blog post, I’ll share my experience and offer some insights for other Rivian owners.

The Incident

I dropped off my truck for a previous repair. I was shocked to discover that it had been damaged while in their care. The service center admitted to their mistake but seemed unconcerned with the inconvenience it caused me.

Lengthy Repair Time

The repair process took an unreasonably long time, spanning over 12 days. This delay caused significant inconvenience and frustration. I was left without my vehicle for an extended period, impacting my daily routine and plans.

Communication Issues

Throughout the entire ordeal, I experienced a lack of communication from the service center. It was difficult to get updates on the status of my truck, and I often felt left in the dark. This lack of transparency made the situation even more frustrating.

Loaner Vehicle Issues

The loaner vehicles provided by Rivian were not in the best condition. I encountered multiple issues with the loaners, including cleanliness and mechanical problems. This further detracted from my overall experience.

Conclusion

My recent experience with the Rivian service center has left me feeling disappointed and frustrated. While I understand that unexpected issues can arise, the lack of communication and the extended repair time were unacceptable. I hope that Rivian will take steps to improve their service and address the concerns of their customers.
