1. Camp Speaker Drawer Organizer: Maximize Your Rivian Storage
First up is the Camp Speaker Drawer Organizer. If you opted out of the Rivian Camp Speaker, or simply want to utilize that space when you’re not using the speaker, this is a fantastic solution. Even if you do have the camp speaker, this organizer can be a great addition for those times when you leave the speaker at home.
This clever insert fits perfectly into the camp speaker dock under the center console. It comes with a custom-fit mat for the base and three removable dividers. This allows you to create up to four separate compartments to organize your gear. Installation is as simple as sliding it into place โ just like the camp speaker itself! And yes, the organizer retains the locking and unlocking functionality of the camp speaker dock, controlled through your Rivian’s settings menu under “Connect” and “Dock.”
This organizer is perfect for storing smaller items you want to keep handy but out of sight. Think tools, snacks, charging cables, or even emergency supplies. It’s a great way to maximize otherwise unused space in your R1T.
2. Second Row Seat Back Media Mount: Entertainment for Passengers
Next, we have the Second Row Seat Back Media Mount. This accessory is a must-have for road trips with passengers, especially kids! It easily mounts to the hooks behind the front seats, utilizing existing points in your R1T. The kit includes everything you need for installation, even a screwdriver!
The mount features a swivel arm that allows you to position your phone or tablet in either portrait or landscape mode. I tested it out with my iPad Pro M2, and it fits perfectly, with full access to the USB-C charging port located conveniently at the back of the front seats. While the included USB-C cable is a bit long, a shorter cable would create an even cleaner look.
This media mount is a game-changer for passenger entertainment. No more holding tablets for long journeys! It’s sturdy, adjustable, and seamlessly integrates with the R1T’s interior.
3. Center Console Safe Vault: Secure Storage in Your Rivian
Finally, we have the Center Console Safe Vault. Security is always a concern, and this safe provides a robust and discreet way to store valuables in your Rivian R1T. The safe is designed to fit snugly inside your center console and comes with a combination lock and keys for access.
Assembly and installation are required, but it’s a straightforward process. You first insert the side walls at an angle, then drop in the safe box itself (also at an angle, front first!). Four screws, accessible only when the safe is open, secure it in place. Once installed, the safe is very secure and cannot be easily removed.
While the safe does slightly limit immediate access to the center console USB ports, a cleverly designed passthrough hole allows you to still route charging cables into the safe, maintaining charging functionality for devices stored inside. The safe itself has a substantial weight, indicating its durability and strength.
One cool Rivian feature that enhances the safe’s security is the center console’s automatic locking function. Even when you’re inside the R1T and the vehicle enters a low-power “hibernate” state, the center console remains locked! This adds an extra layer of security you might not even have realized your Rivian possessed.
This safe is perfect for storing valuables like wallets, keys, small electronics, or anything else you want to keep secure while you’re away from your vehicle or even while you’re inside and want extra peace of mind.
Enhancing Your Rivian R1T Experience
Out of these three BestEvMods accessories, it’s hard to pick a favorite! The Media Mount is a clear winner for family road trips and passenger comfort.
